We opened in May 1994 as a family owned and operated business when I saw a growing need for agency nursing in the specialist field of the operating theatre environment. I had been working in theatres for years as a nurse then as a specialist instrument representative and realised that theatre staff are quite unique in their skills. Having worked for agencies overseas I realised that this was an area of expertise that was lacking in an agency that could offer specialised staff with these exceptional skills.
in the early 2000’s, the need for anaesthetic technician’s evolved as ODA/ODP’s came to New Zealand from the UK with their skills at the anaesthetic side of the table. And so SUPERTECH was born.
We have gone from strength to strength over the years with an exceptional range of staff who provide that experience in the peri-operative arena. PACU staff are also part of our team now. We provide for all hospitals clinics and private facilities that require specialist theatre staff.
With staff sub-specialised in Orthopaedics, Cardiac, Plastic, Neuro-surgery, Ophthalmology and other general areas, we are able to offer the right staff for the right job.
The flexibility to see how staff interact with the hospital, allows for both the contractor and the department to see if the “fit is right” prior to offering a full-time position.
